All evolutionary changes in society enable changes of society patterns, and so has the rise of the information age.An interactive tension between the traditional social structures and the emerging virtual social structures provides the potential foundation of a more democratic information society, built on empowerment and participation among the citizens. IT provides new possibilities for public services and democracy. 

Governments, local and regional councils now have an opportunity to create excellent democratic platforms with on-line citizen services 24-hours a day.In a view to achieve this, Municipal Corporation Of Hyderabad has adopted the concept of e-Governance to provide enhanced civic services to the citizens of twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.  The Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad has setup its own Intranet with connectivity to all of its subordinate offices.

The Network model is based on 3-tier architecture. Banks and Service centers will be accessing the centralized Database Server, and the Web Servers, which are located at MCH Head Office to update the real- time transactions which is based on the Wireless Local Loop Technology with a backup of Leased lines. The four Zonal Offices (North, East, West, South) and eSeva centers located in twin cities are connected to the Head Office network through Leased Lines.
